There may have been a small boom in these techniques, but they have never stopped being used, perhaps now they are more visible in the world of graphic design and illustration but they have always been there, because they are another option. I mean, for me more than a resurgence, it is the rediscovery of techniques that had been somewhat isolated. I don't think it's a fad, people now know what these techniques are capable of and simply take them into account whether the job calls for that finish or not.
The example is that la trattoria works better and better. My first job as an illustrator was drawing erotic comics for a dutch publisher» as a design studio specialized in paper products, we are Phone Number List especially interested in knowing what part of your work as an illustrator do you do on paper and what part of it digitally? Normally, i sketch and ink on paper and then go to the computer to add color, although lately i have also been inking on the computer, since this way i can play better with the lines and decide which ones i want to remove and add others. In short, it gives me more freedom.
Occasionally, as a way of total enjoyment, i do everything on paper, like the friday monsters at la trattoria so i investigate other ways of coloring and other textures. Do you remember what your first “serious” assignment was from Germán Torres as an illustrator? Yes, my first “serious” job, with a rate that allowed me to dedicate myself full time to this, was as an erotic comic artist for a dutch publisher. What is the work you are most proud of? Everything we are doing with la trattoria is giving me great satisfaction and, above all, the opportunity to work on incredible collaborations with people we have met thanks to this project.
